Windows build error

Tobias Kunz
Hi Rosen,

I get the following error when building openrave:

fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: '.\moc_qtcoinviewer.cpp': No
such file or directory

Also, when building the install project, I get the following error:

error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Post-Build
Event..."

Openrave seems to work partially. For example I can call "openrave
--listplugins". However, just calling "openrave" fails with the message
"Failed to create name qtcoin, interface viewer"

I am using Windows 7 x64 and Visual Studio 2008 with the latest revision
1715.

Thanks.
Tobias

Hi Tobias,

Can you confirm that your sources are not stored in a path with
spaces? Ie, don't putting in your "Document and Settings" folder. If
you do move the sources, please fully delete the 'build' folder before
attempting to recompile again.

There was a user who got openrave running in win7 x64:

http://openrave-users-list.185357.n3.nabble.com/Compilation-of-r1650-under-win7-x64-td990897.html#a990897

I think he was saying something about having the Ultimate version
which supported backwards compatibility with windows xp libraries.

The particular error you are having is because
'plugins\qtcoinrave\moc.exe' is failing to execute... perhaps there is
an error there?

we could attempt to compile binaries for you for the latest version
r1715 if you continue to have problems..

When executing moc.exe manually I got the error message "The program
can't start because MSVCP71.dll is missing from your computer". After
downloading that file and copying it into the qtcoinrave folder,
openrave built successfully. I also had a similar problem for
openrave.exe, which was missing msvcr71.dll.

This was caused by 64-bit Matlab, which creates files with the ending
mexw64. But openrave expects the ending mexw32.

Thanks for your help.
Tobias
