tr1::bad_weak_ptr after reinstall

Hello,

After compiling the latest version of openrave (cloned yesterday), I cannot run my existing code anymore. When checking for IK solutions using python, it now shows a tr1::bad_weak_ptr error.

can you send the stacktrace? if you run it with gdb, you can type "bt" to get the stack printed. also it would help if you compile with debug first (-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug)

Maybe I'm overlooking sth, but the iksolver should be set through the xml file for the environment. I've attached a minimal example that gives me the error:

File "ikfast_test.py", line 26, in <module>
    sol = manip.FindIKSolution(goal_pose, 18) # get collision-free solution
RuntimeError: tr1::bad_weak_ptr

It would be great if you could look into it.

hmm......... it doesn't look like ikfast generation is happening. in
openrave, FindIKSolution throws an exception because an iksolver is not set
yet.

according to the error message, the iksolver you set has a different hash than what openrave expects, so openrave refuses to load it.

Rosen why is it that after a long while now it seems like month since no one has gotten back to ANY of my post inquiring for help, what's with the lack of support for windows users ? i wrote you personally by mail and i have not heard from you as well but i do notice everyone else is getting attention, i dont wanna sound like a troll but DAM, can i get some support?  thanks in advance Rosen.

Dear Franks,

It's very difficult for me to support Windows users because (1) I got openrave working back only in Windows XP (5 years ago), (2) it is non-trivial to get boost binaries, and (3) I don't have a working system with Windows anymore, especially variants of Windows 7/8/10. I have no idea what problems people will run into and how to actually solve them on visual studio 201X versions. Sorry for the trouble, but I'm waiting for someone who cares about Windows to step up and help create tutorials for Windows users.

For the time being, your best bet is to get a VM with Ubuntu/Debian on it and use openrave there.
